I’m big on writing things down. I’ve always tried to use my phone as a notebook or keep track on my calendar, but I just can’t make it work. Plus I typically leave my phone in another room during the day to help keep myself off of it.
When I worked outside the home, I used a simple notebook to help keep track but it ended up not being the most efficient.
I soon turned to paper planners. I quick bought a cheapie one off of Amazon and while it did the trick I wanted something more to stay in control of work and home.
The Best Planner For Blogging: Erin Condren LifePlanner
I love love love my Erin Condren LifePlanner. I’m on my second one and it’s the perfect planner for my Stay-At-Home-Mom life as well as everything to do with blogging.
Why I Use Erin Condren LifePlanner
An Erin Condren LifePlanner is the QUEEN of planners which makes it the best planner for blogging.
I’m such a scatterbrain and I really need to write things down to remember them. I started a few years ago by spoiling myself and getting the LifePlanner for work after my son was born.
It was life changing.
I desperately needed some kind of organization in my life and the LifePlanner was the perfect fit. It’s also super cute and the covers are interchangeable.
Now that I blog full time and take care of the home, I still make sure I fill my planner out and reference it throughout the day. It’s always out and around just in case I need to jot an important date or idea down.
How I Use My Erin Condren LifePlanner for Blogging
For me, the biggest sell was that the week was broken into sections, not by hour. You can get your planner customized to be by the hour or just by the day but that just didn’t work for me. Let’s be honest, with two kids I don’t do anything on time.
I love that I can create my sections with the Vertical Layout. I have my 3 sections divided into the following:
- Social Media
Blogging and social media are separate for this mama. Writing and research requires its own section and social media is a horse of its own. But we’ll save all of that knowledge for another day.

Monthly Calendar Pages
I use the monthly calendar pages as my Content Creation Calendar. I write down the blog post titles and refer to the monthly calendar pages so I can ensure I’m on track with my blog posts.
My Favorite Accessories for my Erin Condren Planner
I’ve purchased a few accessories to make my planning life so much easier and more attractive. Here are the items I love!
- Meal Planning Dashboard
- Planning Folio
- Elastic Band Trio
- Pen Holder
The Planner Folio wasn’t even on my radar until my 2018 Planner was ruined. I knew for 2019 and beyond I needed something to keep it safe that also made it easy to travel with.
