I love reading to my son and he enjoys books just as much as I do. Once again, I plan on reading some of the best holiday books to him for 25 days through Christmas.

Reading every night is our routine. Sometimes Rion tries to flip the pages before I can read the page to him. Often times I am just reading aloud to him as he plays with a car or some other small toy, especially for the longer books.

I started this tradition last year of reading to my son a different holiday themed book leading up to Christmas Day. Β On Christmas Day he will open a new holiday book and we read together that night.

I carefully chose books I can continue to read to him for the next few years.

Here’s my list of 25 holiday books for toddlers for every night leading up to Christmas and Christmas Day.

  1. We have most of these books and my whole family enjoys reading them in December. I have not heard of Is it Christmas yet. I will have to check it out.

  3. I’ve been toying with the idea of a book advent calendar but wasn’t sure I could come up with 25 Christmas related books… this is perfect, thank you!

  4. Great list! My girls recently fell in love with Daniel Tiger, so I’ll have to get that book for them. I let my girls pick the book we read to them every night, but during the holidays I make sure we read “What is Christmas?” at least once a week.

Thank you for your comment! I grew up Catholic, which probably is the reason for the 25, but we are non-practicing.

Jean, we LOVE How To Catch Santa! I was worried my son would be a bit young for it when we received it, but it’s a joy to read and it’s a staple in our growing collection. Thank you so much for your comment πŸ™‚

  6. This is a great list! My kids love reading books, I should really get some of these Christmas ones! So often all 4 are lined up on the couch reading their books, looks super cute! Expect I think that they get sick of always needing to look at the same ones!
