Working moms know this struggle is real: fitting in healthy habits and exercise into an already jam packed schedule.
Deciding to lose weight while working mom is no small feat. A demanding work schedule can be a really big challenge on top of everything else moms are faced with.
I had to really get tough with myself this year to get on track and stay on track with my weight loss goals.
Excuses, excuses. No more.
These are my five healthy weight loss tips for busy moms like myself.
5 Healthy Weight Loss Tips For Busy Moms
1. Drink Water
Drinking water is one of the biggest thing most people need to improve upon.
Drink water to help with waste elimination and with weight loss. Your body needs water to survive!
I drink roughly 90 ounces of water daily. This is even after I stopped breastfeeding! My body knows when I haven’t had enough water and I feel run down.
Aim for 70 ounces!
2. Don’t Skip Breakfast!
By the time I get to work I’m already in a meeting filled with sugary treats and onto the next.
But…what about breakfast?!
An actual healthy breakfast?
I discovered Viance Nutrition’s Vitality Breakfast Meal Replacer Shakes to help jump start my day and keep me on track to reach my weight loss goals.
I chose Viance Nutrition’s shakes for their belief that food should be all natural and non-GMO to help lead a healthy lifestyle.
These shakes are all natural, non-GMO and gluten free. I’m not gluten intolerant, but after I’ve previously done a Whole 30 I definitely limit my gluten intake.
Yep, it’s all natural. Seriously, I can pronounce all of the ingredients. The Vitality Shakes are high in protein and fiber, and contain healthy alkalizing fruits, veggies, and antioxidants.
When I started the Vitality Shakes in my Weight Loss program just over a week ago, I was a bit nervous. How would this shake make me feel? Would I struggle with the shakes?
A week in and I feel fantastic and look forward to my healthy shake in the morning. I’ve dropped 3lbs since starting the program and I hope to drop some more by continuing to use Viance Nutrition.
No chemicals. No wacky guides to follow. Just healthy ingredients in an easy to make shake I can take with me.
I have a Vitality Shake when I get to work and I’m able to just bring it from meeting to meeting. It also helps to have my Vitality Shake when those early morning meetings have a sugary breakfast like donuts and other assorted muffins.
I’ve been using my Vitality Shakes to promote healthy weight loss, but these all natural shakes are also good for optimizing your orchestral and lowering your blood pressure.

3. Get Moving!
My biggest struggle is moving lately. Working a desk job means I am constantly at my desk.
I created my own personalized “Workout At Work” program that you can find here. It’s super easy and requires you to get out of your desk once an hour, take a walk, and get your heart pumping!
In addition to my workout at work, I spend my lunch hour either at the gym or taking a walk in downtown DC. I’m very lucky to work in such a cool area with lots to see all within walking distance.
4. Plan, Plan, Plan
Planning my days in advance has helped me fit in exercise and eat healthier. With a solid plan that I put in writing to stick to, I am able to achieve my goals.
I love creating and maintaining a routine. For me, I thrive on routines. I didn’t realize this until I had my son, but since implementing a routine for a lot of aspects of my life I’ve been a much happier person.
Sure, things can happen and the plan can change. I adapt well if that happens. It’s just really important in terms of keeping everything in line so I can complete all my tasks and be able to focus on what’s important.
I can hear the collective laughter from busy moms everywhere.
I try to get at least 7 hours of sleep every night. When I workout and eat healthier on a consistent basis, I sleep better and I’m more awake the next day.
Resting will help your body repair itself so you’re able to face whatever comes your way the next day. Try to get 6-8 hours a night!
