Drink water to help with waste elimination and with weight loss. Your body needs water to survive!
I drink roughly 90 ounces of water daily. This is even after I stopped breastfeeding! My body knows when I haven’t had enough water and I feel run down.
Aim for 70 ounces!
2. Don’t Skip Breakfast!
By the time I get to work I’m already in a meeting filled with sugary treats and onto the next.
But…what about breakfast?!

3. Get Moving!
My biggest struggle is moving lately. Working a desk job means I am constantly at my desk.
I created my own personalized “Workout At Work” program that you can find here. It’s super easy and requires you to get out of your desk once an hour, take a walk, and get your heart pumping!
In addition to my workout at work, I spend my lunch hour either at the gym or taking a walk in downtown DC. I’m very lucky to work in such a cool area with lots to see all within walking distance.
4. Plan, Plan, Plan
Planning my days in advance has helped me fit in exercise and eat healthier. With a solid plan that I put in writing to stick to, I am able to achieve my goals.
I love creating and maintaining a routine. For me, I thrive on routines. I didn’t realize this until I had my son, but since implementing a routine for a lot of aspects of my life I’ve been a much happier person.
Sure, things can happen and the plan can change. I adapt well if that happens. It’s just really important in terms of keeping everything in line so I can complete all my tasks and be able to focus on what’s important.
I can hear the collective laughter from busy moms everywhere.
I try to get at least 7 hours of sleep every night. When I workout and eat healthier on a consistent basis, I sleep better and I’m more awake the next day.
Resting will help your body repair itself so you’re able to face whatever comes your way the next day. Try to get 6-8 hours a night!
