Save Money on Experiences with CertifiKID | Spit Up and Sit Ups

We love taking our kids to local experiences and the DMV area certainly isn’t lacking in things to do for the little ones. But man alive, it can get pretty pricey living here and doing all the things you want to do with your kids.

Enter CertifiKID. It’s a locally owned resource site for moms on a budget looking to provide memorable experiences for their kids. Like me.

What is CertifiKID?

CertifiKID isn’t just another deal site! It’s their mission to find all the hottest, newest play spaces for your family and to help you save money on all of it.

It’s easy to navigate and find the best deals in your area for the most fun play places around. It started right here in the DMV (DC and Baltimore!) but as of this post has expanded into other cities like NYC, Philadelphia, Chicago, Dallas and LA.

My Experience with CertifiKID

We had an awesome experience at Kids Play Gallery in Gaithersburg, MD, about 30 mins from where we live in VA. We found the experience through CertifiKID and got a great deal!

Kids Play Gallery is great for kids with imaginations. My 3 year old son, O, is really into pretend play now. His favorite scenarios are “Bakery” where he’s out of everything I order or it’s way too expensive, “Ice Cream Man” where again he’s out of everything or it’s all $95, and “Pit Stop” where he needs a literal ton of gas to run one lap before running out and heading back to pit road.

And Kids Play Gallery has it all. It’s a little village with a big road and unique Play Houses for children. There’s even a fishing dock and boat! It had kid sized versions (and adults can fit in too) of our favorite imaginative games at home and a few more like a Diner, Fire Engine and Station and a Grocery Store.

I was so impressed by each Play House. There was so much detail in every little Play House and plenty of things for all the kids to play with. I also loved that nothing was electronic. Toys were high quality Melissa & Doug and required kids to use their imaginations.

J kept running back to this cute giraffe!

For adults, there’s an area to sit and watch your kids or chat with other adults while the kids play. There’s also a coffee station to buy coffee and a retail space.

My 1 year old daughter, J, loved running from Play House to Play House and riding around in the Cozy Coupe. Our favorite was the Fire Station with the little slide and the big ol’ Melissa & Doug Giraffe.

My son was into everything. He loved the Fishing Boat, the Gas Station and of course riding around in the Cozy Coupe.

Everything was incredibly clean and there were plenty of cubbies for us to put our belongings. There’s also a party space where you can bring lunch as long as there is not a party going on. Check their Facebook before heading over as its updated daily with the schedule!
