Seriously, it’s March?
February was yet another busy month for me. Between work, blogging, being sick, and family, I don’t think I’ve had much time to just do nothing. The dream. Do nothing.
Why I Blog
I started Spit Up And Sit Ups to help keep track of my weight loss and offer my tips to new moms. It’s a confusing world out there in regards to parenting and I wanted to share what I have learned to make life a bit easier for others.
When I started Spit Up And Sit Ups back in April 2016, I never set out to make money from it. In fact, I had no idea how bloggers made money or even how they got ads on their sites. I figured they had an insane number of views and companies were just throwing themselves at the bloggers.
In July 2016, I decided to look into how to get seen by other bloggers and, more importantly, moms. Since then, my blog has grown so much and I’m really excited with the direction it’s going in.

Why Do I Post Income Reports
I wasn’t sure if I was ever going to post an income report. I loved reading other blog income reports, but would anyone even care that I made $50?
So I took my first dive into reporting income I made just by blogging and the feedback has been pretty positive.
New bloggers loved seeing that I wasn’t pulling a full time income just yet. Last month was really good to me and this month brought me back down to Earth.
I think everyone’s idea of a full time income is different, but I’d love to consistently make the same numbers overall.
February Blog Update and Income Report
Growth By Numbers
I have been working pretty hard at reaching more of my audience. It’s a tough job, but I do enjoy finding new ways to connect with other moms on social media. I really want to diversify where my audience comes from.
Facebook: 680 (+32%)
Pinterest: 5,741 (+10.5%)
Twitter: 6,590 (+12%)
Instagram: 1,361 (+20%)
Email Subscribers: 54 (+25%)
Views are back up over 10,000 which I am really happy about!
This is money strictly made from the blog. Some of these may not have paid out yet, but this is what accrued in February.
Here are my numbers:
LegalZoom: $83 (2 of 3 payments for becoming Spit Up and Sit Ups LLC)
Elite Blog Academy: $797

That looks bad.
But I swear it’s not.
I swear it’s a good thing.
No, it’s a great thing.
Hear me out!
Why I Am Taking Elite Blog Academy
I’ve been going back and forth on taking Elite Blog Academy and mainly it’s because of the hefty price tag.
Ultimately I decided to take the plunge because sometimes I feel scatter brained. Sometimes I feel like I am all over the place and I’m not really sure how to do it all, even if it seems on the outside like I know what I’m doing.
And I want to.
Elite Blog Academy has a 100% guarantee or my money will be refunded.
I’ve taken some other courses that have really helped me grow the blog, but I believe that this has been a missing link in my blogging education.
Some might say this information is out there already and that I just need to find it. I am constantly reading and learning about blogging. This course provides the foundation to grow the blog. I am just on the first unit and I already feel empowered and that I’ve gotten something out of it that I didn’t find elsewhere.
This isn’t an elevator pitch. I’m not an affiliate for EBA and will gladly give an honest review in a year. Hold me to it, fam.
Am I Worried About the Difference Between January and February Income?
Not at all.
In my last income report I said that while I didn’t believe January’s income report was a fluke, I knew I was not going to make that income in February. Overall, I would love to make that income consistently and I know I will get there.
I’ve only been making money blogging since October!
I still have a long way to go.

My affiliate links are below. I highly recommend each and every product listed here. I’ve used the service or completed the course.
I highly recommend checking out Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing (affiliate link) from Michelle Schroeder-Gardner of Making Sense of Cents. This blogging course has taught me the best strategies for my blog in regards to affiliate marketing. Michelle earns over $50,000 a month through affiliate marketing! I took this back in October and the course has already paid for itself!
When I started my blog, I really had no idea where to go. I turned to Find Your Tribe Online (affiliate link) from Jen Snyder of Women Winning Online. I found Facebook groups, Pinterest boards, and other bloggers in my niche easily. We help each other, share posts, and support each other through the blogging process. It takes the guesswork out of finding where other bloggers are hanging out.
If you’re looking to grow your Pinterest, check out BoardBooster (affiliate link)! BoardBooster’s looping feature is one of my favorite tools. I also schedule for posts from my blogs to go to my favorite Pinterest boards so I don’t have to manually do it every single day to get seen.
If you’re interested in sponsored campaigns, check out Linqia! Click here for my referral link. I love Linqia. They find programs for me that fit my niche. You will need 2,500 followers on Twitter or Facebook to get started on this platform.
Also, keep going. If you’re reading this and you’re struggling and wondering if it’s worth it to continue blogging, just keep swimming.
